catch up

My deepest apologies for not updating this blog sooner. Things got a little busy in the past few weeks and I just didn’t have the time nor energy to write it all down. However, now we went on a little excursion up the coast I feel more relaxed and refreshed.

The wedding went very well everything was perfect, I even fitted in my dress fine! The ceremony was faultless, the only thing that marred the day was that it was sooo muggy and when we went to get all the photos taken the mozzies were out in force but other then that it was brill. The reception was lovely with the venue staff looking after everything in a really professional way, there was drinking and merriment all about. I think Lisa and James had a wonderful day.

A couple of days afterwards Daniel and I headed up the coast to go visit Rodney (Dan’s cousin) Lisa and James also did the same but stayed a little closer to home at her parents holiday home in Harrington. It was our first road trip and went very well. Daniel saw a ‘roo but I haven’t seen any actual “wildlife” yet. WE reached surfers paradise in good time and had a few days there although we only went to the beach once in the evening (sitting on a beach baking is not our thing!) instead we went to one of the many theme parks on the Gold coast, choosing movie world (of course!) a great time was had and I even went on all the rides!

We took our time heading back, trying some of the scenic routes instead of the 1 motorway, I can truly say that this country is very beautiful, even though it looks very much like England, only with palm trees and its’ hot! =] so back in Sydney just in time for Mardi Gras, yes I am about to find out if the gay boys here would give the Brighton boys a run for their money (of course not boy’s don’t worry!) but still off to dance to good music and glitter! Will try and keep you more updated as the final month of us being here unfolds. Next week is a trip to Melbourne! =]

apologies....

sorry for the delay in writing an update for this blog. Internet time is at a premium here and with it being quite slow and frustrating i've not had the wil to fight for my slot =]. Also nothing much has happened this week as still recovering from the Hen's weekend last weekend. We spent a very nice evening in Sydney, dinner, cocktails, dancing.. all good. the boys however, were a little more boisterous, spending time at the horses, dinner, bars and then clubbing, including the obligatory visit to the strip club. still fun was had by all. again not much is happening this week just putting the final touches to all the plans for next weekend. will update next week with more =]
